Follow the river and you will find the sea, says the French proverb. Jesus attracted a great number of followers. Some were drawn because of immediate pressing concerns such as illness. Others were drawn because in Jesus they recognised the light of hope for a fallen humanity. Like Matthew, striding away from his abandoned tax booth, the call to follow comes to us in the midst of our daily pursuits. If we follow Jesus what do we find?
